David Arute, LCPC, AEDP/EMDR

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

The Mansio Center, Inc.

I know how scary it can be to share yourself with someone new, and I want to make you feel as seen and safe as possible. My therapy approach draws upon experiential and relational systems theory to empower you to make the changes you’re looking for. Together, we will explore your past experiences, your relationship patterns, and where you are emotionally, right now. With empathy, validation, and a dash of humor, I help you tap into your strength and live in a more authentic way.

My Specialties

My primary specialty is working with survivors of emotional neglect/abuse and sexual assault. I understand the impact trauma has on all aspects of our being can be pervasive, resulting in issues with intimacy, trust, anxiety, and depression. I guide my clients through the intense process of healing to find their voice and power after being victimized. Drawing on modern, body-oriented theories of trauma, I use a holistic approach informed by evidence-based practices such as AEDP and EMDR to help my clients learn to feel safe in their bodies and in the world.

In my practice, I also welcome individuals struggling with anxiety, self esteem, addictions, ADHD, mood disorders and life transitions. I enjoy working with other mental health professionals, journeying alongside them as they do their own deep work of healing. I also have a deep appreciation for the role that spirituality plays in our lives and our healing and offer Soul Care Integrated Therapy.
